Male Infertility

At one time infertility was considered primarily a female problem. We know better today. Infertility occurs almost equally in men and women.

Common causes of male infertility include:
    • Hormone imbalance
    • Infection
    • Injury
    • Abnormal or malfunctioning sperm cells
    • Medical problems such as diabetes mellitus

About Our Services

Depending on the diagnosis, your recommended treatment may be medical or surgical.

Medical treatment  would be directed at correcting a hormone imbalance or toward stimulating sperm production. Surgical therapy would be aimed at relieving obstruction of the tubes that carry sperm through the body, or correcting a problem associated with dilated veins around the testis that can reduce sperm production by increasing the temperature around the testicle.

Please call Southwest Urology at (440) 845-0900 if you have any questions regarding male infertility or to arrange for an appointment with one of our qualified physicians.
