Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia

Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) is commonly known as an enlarged prostate. The prostate is a walnut-sized gland located beneath the bladder and in front of the rectum. It's growth can result in problems with urination that is often associated with advancing age. According to the National Institutes of Health, BPH affects 50% of the men age 60 or older and 90% of men over the age of 70. Common symptoms of BPH include the following:
